iPad can handle multiple email accounts from Gmail, Yahoo, and Microsoft. But the user with multiple email accounts in the iPad may need or desire to delete any email account at some point of time. It is essential to be aware of the procedure of  how to remove email from iPad:

  1. The user will have to navigate to the Settings App for the deletion of the email account from the device.
  2. Click “Passwords & Accounts” in the Settings App
  3. The list of all the email accounts listed in the mail app will open and the user will have to select the email account that has to be deleted.
  4. Click on Delete Account
  5. Confirm the action by clicking on Delete

The task is accomplished and the concerned email account ceases to exist in the device. It is successfully deleted from the iPad.

Delete multiple email messages

  1. Open Mail and go to your Inbox.
  2. Tap Edit in the upper-right corner, then tap Select All. Or individually select the emails that you want to delete.
  3. Tap Trash or Archive. If you only see Archive, touch and hold Archive to see other options like Trash Selected Messages.

To undo deleting an email, shake your device, then tap Undo.

Delete a single email

  1. Open Mail and go to your Inbox.
  2. Tap Edit in the upper-right corner, then select the email that you want to delete.
  3. Tap Trash or Archive.

You can also quickly swipe left over a single email to delete it.

If you’re trying to delete a message from within the email, press and hold the Archive button  or the Trash button , then tap Archive Message or Trash Message.

Depending on the type of email account you have, you might see Archive instead of Trash when you try to delete emails. You can edit your mailbox behavior settings to change this.

Depending on your email provider, you might also have the option to remove emails automatically after a certain period of time.
